The main way this can be used in a bad way is by having many lines full of links. This really is considered spamming, and you will not get good results from this. Typically, you should only have about 5 lines, and no more. To grab the attention of the reader, your first line should be striking to their interest. Next, get your own website. Why? I’m sure you’ve paid a visit to a website at some point which was hosted by hotmail, yahoo or some other free provider. It doesn’t look so professional, does it? It’s not that expensive to buy your own domain name and web hosting service, but the advantage you’ll gain in terms of appearance is great. If you’re using a free account, people are likely to think you are not making any money and be less interested in what you have to say.

Be sure to capture your leads before you send them on to the affiliate site. Now, there really isn’t anything wrong with letting them go on through to the product page, however, you don’t know if they will decide to buy the product or not. If they don’t buy the product, they are gone. If they do buy the product, they buy it and are gone. What if you had their email address and were able to communicate with them? You could convince someone who wasn’t planning on buying to actually change his or her mind and make a purchase. If they don’t, you can keep trying them until they do. With the people who do buy, you can create great customer support to keep a good customer line going and some residual income.
